Desperate bankers…

Thanks for those who had shown concern regarding my hand… its getting fine.. although its still swelling, however the redness subsided.

i think the economic crisis had really hit us hard. reading the papers yesterday, the networth of big banks like citi group, barclays, stanley had fallen more than 40%. and there is this funny incident when i was going to tiong bahru plaza to get some medications for the bites. since its nearby my house, i’m only wearing singlet, shorts and slippers. i passed by the citibank in the MRT and the bankers standing outside were approaching me (in singlet, shorts and slippers) to sign up their investment plan or get a credit card… thankfully i used the magic word “i’m a student…” and manage to get away from them… i guess they are just desperate to meet their quota to aviod being kicked out of their places. thus, they’ll just approach any tom, dick and harry they saw…

i guess singaporeans are too afraid of spending now and shopping centres are putting efforts in mega-sales to attract people to spend. even starting bid of COE for small cars had fallen to the lowest of $2(hope tanky is not cursing and swearing that the society had caused him to lose this best opportunity to buy a lamborghini). but still efforts still failed. like what Dr Money had said ” when the spending stops, retrenchment starts” and we are starting to see signs of that happening…

my right hand is swollen… looks like a pig’s hand now…

 

all these happened yesterday’s morning… i woke up with 2 painful sore on my right arm. as time passes, it swelled and redness spread around the infected area. angry!! never had any insect bitten me thrice and gotton off alive except for the commando mosquitos in live-firing area. i’m having evil thoughts running in my mind. i flipped my bed, changed the bedsheets and combed the around… could not see any insect. argh… heck, i still get on with my daily routine playing facebook and going out except for studying for exam (there are still quite some time before my next paper).

i met up my secondary sch classmate in bugis. i decide to get the thought of drinking at Beavers’ off my mind due to the bites on my hand. i’m afraid that alcohol might have cause adverse reaction to the bites. *yah… hum chee… if thats what u aare thinking, yes i am…* lol we ended up having  our dinner at NYDC, coffee at starbucks (toffee nut frappacino is bagus!! :x)  and ended with a night walk from bugis to suntec to city hall.

Got home, bites not subside yet. mum asked me to apply some aloe vera as she said its the miracle plant. although i dunno whether theres any scientific  proof abt that, i just followed her advice, treat as though 老人言. i’m lying on the bed… flipping and worrying abt whether “it” will visit me again *yes, hum chee again… i’m scared*. its 3:30am in the morning, i’m still awake lying on my bed. i felt something crawling on my leg, i quickly grabbed it and threw it on the floor. after stoning for awhile, i got up and switch on the light to check it out. its a queen ant!! with wings and still alive… my killer instinct came and i squashed it with a piece of tissue paper. to ensure it is dead, i stepped on it for a few times before i threw it into the bin.

“kenny nah, lance qiao, lina peh!!(not refering to authors of KBMG, but i’m juz swearing) you’ve gotton me anxiety, distress, agony and loss of sleep… death shall be your redemption!!!” *evil grins* although there is another specie which has constantly gotton me anxiety, distress, agony and loss of sleep, however its not quite possible for me to squash him due to his gigantic size. its more likely that i’m being squashed by him… so, i’ll just leave with it at the moment.

In fact, i wasnt too sure whether its the queen ant which had bitten me. i seriously hope its her coz i had already murdered her else, i might have another painful day. if its not, then i can only say sorry abt it 😡
fu*king tired due to lack of sleep… *yawn*

New Hangout – Beavers pub

The Beavers Pub, lies along liang seah street behind Parco Bugis junction. this shall be my new hangout 😡 i wont say i’m a regular pub-goer, but i loves drinking, especially in places with good ambience…
pros:
1) they serve SALTED popcorn as snacks *favoutrite!!*
2) Fresh Stella Atois beer from the tap
3) Pole Dancing!!!
cons:
1) no UnXpected band, no *uncensored* version of “i will survive”
2) no “all out of love” – air supply

its a combination of my favourites… lol spent quite some time searching for pub which serves draft stella atois. Used to be in wala wala pub until they changed their draft to becks which is more economical (i guess), i had not tried fresh stella atois since then.

Salted popcorn is what Beavers pub served for snacks. its my favourite and a must-have when i go to cinemas. because of my wierd taste, nobody shares my popcorn and i get to enjoy all of the popcorn on my own!! *grins*

abit of sidetrack: Beavers is a type of animal which look like rodents. americans usually refer beaver as a slang for pubic hair :X
